Gearing Up

Hi, y’all,

All the best for 2012! There is a new year with new opportunities and new challenges ahead. To just dive in, this semester I am taking my last core class, the “Seminar in Survey Research.” In addition, I am taking “Policy Implementation and Administration” as my last specialty class. Besides these two classes, I am fully devoted to preparing for the first part of my qualifying exams. This will be a two-day comprehensive examination about the classes in the core curriculum plus a manuscript review. Furthermore, I will be TA’ing for “Science Technology and Human Values,” the awesome class in (lite) critical theory that essentially discusses the contemporary version of Plato’s Cave. Finally, I am planning to lay the foundations for my dissertation proposal. In short, it is time to fully gear up after the relaxing winter break
